Yuba Water Agency on Oct. 18 approved more than $4.2 million in funding to support a major water and wastewater infrastructure expansion project in south Yuba County and a planned forest biomass plant and business center in the foothills.

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. has announced construction is underway on the renewable natural gas (RNG) expansion project at Fraser Valley Biogas. The facility, located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, has been in operation since 2011.

Archaea Energy Inc. on Oct. 17 announced that it has agreed to be acquired by bp for approximately $4.1 billion, including $3.3 billion in cash and $800 million of net debt. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year.

Eni is investigating the opportunity to build a new biorefinery at the company's industrial site in Livorno, Itqaly. The project sould include a feedstock pretreatment unit, an Ecofining plant, and facility to produce hydrogen from methane.
