Drax Group has opened a new pellet plant at Demopolis in Alabama. At full capacity the plant at Demopolis, which is Drax’s second production facility in Alabama, will produce 360,000 metric tonnes of sustainable biomass pellets a year.

Enviva Inc. has announced it will invest approximately $250 million in Bond, Mississippi, to build a wood pellet production plant with an annual capacity of more than 1 million metric tons per year. Construction is expected to begin in early 2023.

Twain Financial Partners has closed a $136 million ground purchase and leaseback arrangement for a renewable diesel plant under development in Reno, Nevada, by New Rise Renewables Reno LLC. The faciltiy is expected to be complete in November 2022.
